PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

Isopropyl alcohol (IPA), also known as 2-propanol, is an organic compound with the chemical formula C3H8O, isomer of n-propanol, is a colorless transparent liquid with an odor similar to that of a mixture of ethanol and acetone, and can be dissolved in water, but also soluble in alcohols, ethers, benzene, chloroform and most other organic solvents.

Isopropyl alcohol is an important chemical product and raw material, mainly used in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, plastics, spices, coatings and so on.

USES

1、As a chemical raw material, it can produce acetone, hydrogen peroxide, methyl isobutyl ketone, diisobutyl ketone, isopropyl amine, isopropyl ether, isopropyl chloride, and isopropyl ester of fatty acid and isopropyl ester of fatty acid with chlorine. In fine chemicals, can be used for the production of isopropyl nitrate, isopropyl xanthate, triisopropyl phosphite, aluminum isopropanol, as well as pharmaceuticals and pesticides, etc., can also be used for the production of diisopropyl acetone, isopropyl acetate and muscimol, as well as gasoline additives.

2, as a solvent is a relatively cheap solvent in industry, wide range of uses, can be freely mixed with water, the solubility of lipophilic substances than ethanol, can be used as a solvent for nitrocellulose, rubber, coatings, gum, alkaloids, etc., can be used for the production of coatings, inks, extractants, aerosols, etc., but also used as an antifreeze, detergents, gasoline and additives, the dispersant for the production of pigments, the dyeing and dyeing industry, fixing agent, glass and transparent plastics, antifreeze. It can also be used as antifreeze, cleaning agent, additive for gasoline blending, dispersant for pigment production, fixing agent for printing and dyeing industry, antifogging agent for glass and transparent plastics, etc. It can also be used as diluent for adhesive, antifreeze and dehydration agent.

3、It is used as chromatographic standard to determine barium, calcium, copper, magnesium, nickel, potassium, sodium, strontium, nitrite, cobalt and so on.

4、It can be used as cleaning and degreasing agent in electronic industry.

5、In the oil and grease industry, it is the extractant of cottonseed oil, and can also be used for degreasing of animal origin tissue membrane.
