PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Glyoxylic acid is an organic substance with the molecular formula C2H2O3. It is composed of an aldehyde group (-CHO) and a carboxyl group (-COOH). Its structural formula is HOCCOOH and its molecular weight is 74.04. It is a white crystal with an unpleasant odor. Its aqueous solution is a colorless or light yellow transparent liquid. It is soluble in water and its aqueous solution is yellow; it is insoluble in ether, ethanol and benzene. It can absorb moisture and become a slurry in a short time after being exposed to air. It is corrosive.
